Mykonos

Mykonos is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. While it is famous mainly for its cosmopolitan lifestyle, much-frequented beaches, upbeat atmosphere and exciting nightlife, it is also an ideal vacation spot for visitors that want to spend a quiet and relaxing holiday, as the island possesses serene settlements, picturesque coves and secluded beaches.

On this page you will find a map of Mykonos, travel information about Mykonos beaches, sites and how to travel to / from Mykonos, as well as distances of the hotels from transportation hubs, beaches and supermarkets.

Mykonos Sightseeing

During your stay on Mykonos Island, we suggest you visit its significant historical and religious sites such as the Archaeological, Maritime and Folklore Museums in Mykonos Town, the quaint windmills, the awe-inspiring Panagia Paraportiani Church in the Kastro area, the Monastery of Panagia Tourliani in Ano Mera, the Pre-historic and Ancient ruins at Panormos Bay, the Well of Giannaros and the 3 Hellenistic Towers in Platis Gialos.

You should also take a stroll around Mykonos Town and through the charming narrow alleyways. A stop at Alefkandra, Mykonos' “Little Venice” and a boat trip to the archaeological site on the isle of Delos, which is located just opposite Mykonos, are a must.

Mykonos Beaches

The beaches on Mykonos Island are absolutely fantastic. You will definitely find what you are looking for, since there is such a variety to choose from. Some are quiet and secluded, others are crowded, while some are sandy and others rocky.
